Why?
Why, oh why must you leave me now?
I am lost for words
I don’t want to say goodbye
Fate is cruel to take you from me so soon
I have yet to know you
Why, oh why?
Somewhere in time, we may meet again
Until then I’ll think of you
As you go, take my love with you
May it see you through your journey
Goodbye my friend, goodbye
(Repeat refrain)
Somewhere in time, we may meet again
Until then I’ll think of you
As you go, take my love with you
May it see you through your journey
Goodbye my friend, goodbye

This is one of the very first songs that I wrote in my early twenties. It is short one focussing on friendship. Friends come and go in our lives. Some people you really click with, they get you, you understand them. It is as if you are family.
If you part company after a short while, it can feel like a piece of you has gone with them. Good friendships stand the test of time and you pick up from where you left off, even after many years.
I am happy that I have good friendships like this. I hope to record this song one day.
Lovely and timeless.
Reason, season, lifetime ❤

Thanks my good friend for the wonderful comments! I am so glad you like this. One day in the coming months I intend to video my original songs 🙂
