Rudolph’s Covid Christmas featuring Very Bad Hippy

Hello friends!

I am delighted to share with you the world premier performance by a good friend of mine. Please give it up for Very Bad Hippy singing “Rudolph’s Covid Christmas”, a topical version of a festive, family favourite.

Just as with alternative facts, there are alternative lyrics to well known classics. If you would like to sing along, then, here are these alternative lyrics:

Rudolph’s Covid Christmas

Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer

Had a very runny nose

Santa was rather worried

The snot was getting on his clothes

All of the other reindeer

Were silly and were very vain

Refusing to put their masks on

They thought the Covid rules were lame

Then one snowy afternoon

Santa came to say

You’d better get your Covid test

That would put our minds at rest

Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer

Had to go and isolate

A positive test confirmed that

He was a poorly ungulate

All of the other reindeer

Didn’t follow Covid rules

Nor did they socially distance

And ended up in ICU

Rudolph was well by Christmas Eve

But Santa stayed at home

As a senior, he was vulnerable

And called Rudolph by Zoom (hey Santa, you’re on mute)

Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer

Told Santa “Child, it’s fine,

The elves and I will pull your sled

We’ll deliver presents right on time!”

Lyrics by Very Bad Hippy

Music, (variations on a theme by Johnny Marks)

On a serious note, this song was produced with the sole purpose of bringing a smile to your face during these stressful Covid19 times and no offence was intended.

If you like it, give it a like, subscribe and share.

Peace, love and understanding yeah!
