This jolly chap came to me, while Brett and I stayed in a remote cabin on Cape Breton last autumn. I don’t mean he showed up on the doorstep, although we surely would not have turned him away! No. He just popped into my imagination, as breezy as a summer zephyr. He reminded me of the many cheerful seals we encountered during our year at sea or in the harbours here on Salt Spring Island. He will surely brighten up someone’s day in a corner of a home, coastal cabin, boat or office. Or perhaps children like him in their nursery or play area. Take a look at this slideshow.
This is a Limited Edition series of archival quality prints of my original pen and ink drawing of a cute seal cub. Each seal cub art print has been carefully reproduced using Giclée ink jet printing onto cold press natural paper, which has a textured feel.
