Hello friends,
We are currently in an auspicious time this Winter Solstice with a Great Conjunction of the planets Jupiter and Saturn, which have been just one-tenth of a degree apart from our perspective or about one-fifth the width of a full moon. It is the closest Jupiter-Saturn pairing since July 1623, when the two planets appeared a little nearer, but at that time, it was hard to see because the alignment happened near the sun. However this on this Winter Solstice, the Conjunction occurred in the night sky – making it more visible and for many people, was a truly once in a lifetime event.
No doubt, the year of 2020 has been a very difficult and challenging for so many of us around the world. My heart goes out to all of you, who have experienced the pain of loss of a loved one or separation from those you are most close to, or the loss or disruption of jobs and education during these trying Covid times.
I feel prompted by my intuition to give you all an intuitive card reading, which may encourage you and bring you some comfort over the coming days and weeks.
I am using two card decks for this intuitive card reading: an Angel Oracle Card Deck and a Reiki Card Deck as I have found that they work well together and serve to amplify the intuitive messages within. This is a simple reading that draws upon and speaks into the immediate past (say the last three to six months), the present moment and immediate future (the next three to six months).
Just remember take what resonates with your own heart and intuition and leave the rest. So shall we get started?
1. Immediate past – Music and Desire
The music card quite clearly indicates that you have been prompted to incorporate more music into your life in the recent past and this remains relevant today. Perhaps you have felt drawn to play your favourite music in the background often, while you go about your day to day activities or you have been pulled towards listening more intently to sounds and music that is found in nature. Alternatively, you may have been engaged in learning to play a musical instrument or sing, or pick up an instrument that you have not played for years, or you have enjoyed discovering new music and artists.
This card affirms that music has the power to bring about healing on physical, emotional, mental and spiritual levels, which will be good for you right now, but it also confirms that you have a role to play in bringing about healing through music and sound to others. You are invited to continue to immerse yourself in beautiful, uplifting and inspiring music daily.
When this music card is coupled with the reiki card that depicts desire on a blue background, the message is amplified further. The blue colour indicates the throat chakra, which is the energy centre of the body related to communication, self-expression and truth. These cards together encourage you to grow in confidence when you communicate and express yourself through music and song. You have natural musical gifts and these cards call you to use your gifts to impact the world.
Regarding truth, the desire card implores you to be fearless in your communication through music and song in terms of expressing your heart’s desire. Do not be afraid of stating what you wish to manifest in the world, as long as it is for the highest good of all beings. Also, you are called to be a beacon of light and your creative musical gifts will help you to cut through obfuscation of any kind to get to the heart of the matter. You are able to expose lies and half-truths with integrity. You have the ability to co-create your reality through music and song that will bring healing into the world.
2. Present moment – Nature and Patience
The nature card strongly suggests that you should spend more time in nature these days, every day if at all possible. Take a walk in the park or go forest bathing, sit in a garden or on a balcony and observe the birds. Slow down and breathe in, cool, fresh air and become mindful of the sounds that surround you. We are all part of nature and not separate from her and yet our societies have become somewhat disconnected from Mother Earth and all beings, who inhabit her.
We are entering an age, in which it is not only vital to reconnect with Mother Nature and our earthly home but to cherish her, nurture her and protect her and all beings therein with greater urgency than has gone before. Our very survival depends on it.
Use this time to commune with nature, spend time learning about your local plants and animals, your woods, forests, copses, meadows, hedgerows, lakes, rivers ponds or marine life nearby. Sit quietly in nature and meditate, listen to the messages that she brings to you. You will feel it in your heart and your spirit. Feel and absorb the energy from plants. Practice gratitude for the life that comes from nature – the oxygen we breathe, the water we drink, the food we eat, the natural medicines we utilise and the immense upwelling in our hearts, minds and souls when we see a beautiful vista before us, where nature shines in all her glory.
Coupled with the green reiki card depicting patience affirms that being in nature is healing for you right now and for others too, but you must be patient for healing will take time. Green is associated with the energy centre of the heart or heart chakra. The energy of nature is yearning to connect with the energy of your heart. This will bring healing to you, but also, as you commune regularly with nature, you will be guided towards how you can help others to heal and heal the land and water sources.
3. Immediate future – Harmony and Love
The harmony card is really encouraging for your immediate future, so the next three to six months or so, because it signifies that a situation that has been troubling you for a long time will be resolved. This could represent a conflict in any sphere of your life, such as with work colleagues, your spouse or partner, other family members, friends or neighbours. Do not fear this conflict. Sometimes conflict can help cleanse a situation by bringing issues to the surface, which need to be addressed so that healing can occur or it can sweep away things, which no longer serve us.
Be prepared to release this troubling situation consciously so that it can be healed. When you do, you will see a breakthrough and you will experience greater harmony.
Alternatively, the harmony card may indicate that you have been out of balance and you must listen to your body, mind and spirit for guidance on which areas of your life you need to bring back into equilibrium. You can ask your guides and angels for support through this process. This is important, so do not avoid any messages about self-care that you may be receiving. We all need to learn to love ourselves and pay attention to our needs.
The reiki card I have drawn alongside the harmony card is another one that focusses on the throat chakra and once again applies to communication, self-expression and truth, which urges you to express yourself clearly with love. This will definitely help to heal fractured relationships with other people and resolve conflicts. Furthermore, this card requires you to speak with love when you refer to yourself. If you have developed habits over the years where you speak of yourself negatively, even in jest, this card reminds you to speak kindly about yourself, because words carry power with them. Speak to yourself or about yourself using positive words that affirm who you are.
All three sets of cards indicate changes in various habits. I have often read that it takes at least 21 days to break a habit and create a new one. My suggestion to you all today is to spend the next 21 days listening to and/or playing or singing beautiful music, spending time outdoors in nature or sitting with houseplants (if you are not able to go outside at the moment) and focussing on areas of your life in which you can bring about greater harmony but speaking truth with love.
